Anna and Jordan Rathkopf are an acclaimed photography and directing duo whose work is fueled by their journey as a survivor and caregivers. They specialize in capturing the raw, unfiltered emotions and deep connections that emerge when people face life’s toughest challenges and the joys of the everyday. Their imagery is both intimate and powerful, shedding light on the resilience and strength that define these relationships.
Their book, HER2: Diagnosed, the Caregiver, and Their Son is a deeply personal photographic collaboration offering a unique perspective through the eyes of both the diagnosed and the caregiver.
In 2024, their impactful storytelling earned them the Photographic Achievement Award in Visual Storytelling for Social Impact from the International Photographic Council at the United Nations.

I grew up in Prague, surrounded by the city's historic architecture, where I picked up lessons on composition, lighting, and capturing life's moments from my uncle, a well-known Eastern European photographer.
As an immigrant, I’ve found that staying curious—asking questions, listening, and learning—helps me navigate new environments and cultures.
When I was diagnosed with cancer in 2016, it reminded me just how vital empathy, community support, and following my dreams really are.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, I grew up surrounded by a mix of voices and stories that shaped how I see the world. My career took me into marketing and PR, where I teamed up with social impact organizations, influencers, and media outlets to help amplify meaningful stories.
Becoming a caregiver changed everything for me. It wasn’t just about supporting someone through tough times; it was about understanding the raw, unfiltered reality of what people go through. That experience pushed me to focus on telling stories that aren’t just polished and perfect but real and deeply human.
